Fast upload and download

Bluboxes offers you photo storage up to 20 times faster than anyone else, making it possible for you to upload your entire digital photo collection in a fraction of the time of other services.

Store more for less

What's more, our award winning Blubox application can reduce the data size of your images by up to 90% without sacrificing the quality when it comes to printing or viewing. So you can store more in less space in your online account. 100GB of images can be stored in a 10GB plan.

Other photo backup and sharing websites

There are lots of online services that allow you to share your photos with family and friends. However, most of these services only allow you to upload a much smaller, resized version of your pictures.

If your photo images are somehow destroyed or removed from your home computer, don't expect to get them back at full resolution from a photo sharing web site. What's more, the majority of people don't keep all of their pictures online. If your computer is compromised, chances are you'll be missing a lot of photos. Share your photos AND care for them by joining Bluboxes!

How secure is my data?

Bluboxes backs up your digital photos to Amazon servers via the Internet. Amazon data centres are located in different geographic locations as an extra measure of protection and your files are stored so that only you have access to them.

Amazon data centres are housed in nondescript facilities, and critical facilities have extensive setback and military grade perimeter control terms as well as other natural boundary protection. Physical access is strictly controlled both at the perimeter and at building ingress points by professional security staff utilizing video surveillance, state of the art intrusion detection systems, and other electronic means. Authorized staff must pass two-factor authentication no fewer than three times to access data centre floors. All visitors and contractors are required to present identification and are signed in and continually escorted by authorized staff.

Bluboxes stores your photos offsite in secure data centres that only you have access to. By storing multiple copies of your photos in different geographic locations, we avoid the pitfalls of degrading plastic, accidental damage and hardware failures.

The Bluboxes web site uses SSL (Secure Socket Layers) encryption, to protect pages with sensitive information, such as your account password and credit card number, whenever this information is transmitted between your computer and our servers

How serious is the problem of lost digital photos?

Hardware Failure, Viruses & Acts of God

If you are storing your digital photos on your PC then hard drive crashes, viruses, file corruption, fire, flood and theft are just a few of the ways you could lose those precious memories. With Bluboxes we erase your concerns, not your photographs.

Physical Degradation

Burning a copy of your photos to CD is not enough. Did you know that CDs don't always burn correctly, can degrade over time, and can melt from sunlight alone? Experts even recommend that you store your CDs vertically. Bluboxes is the easy alternative, so you can focus on creating and capturing memories, not wondering if you've stored them correctly.

Human Error

Believe it or not, human error is the number one reason people lose their digital photos. Whether through accidental deletion or because little Sally thought it would be fun to stick her crayons in your CD-ROM drive, digital photos are more vulnerable than we would like to think. You've heard the horror stories before: your friend's sister lost all of her photos to a nasty computer virus, including the pictures from her son's first birthday party. Your brother-in-law had his laptop stolen on a business trip; the same laptop with all the pictures from a recent family reunion... the list goes on and on
